Hans was born in Holland, but has lived in coastal New South Wales, Australia since he was five years of age.
Studying painting, etching and life drawing under Kevin Oxley and later under Danja Nieminen, Hans became a full time painter in 1996. Since that time Hans has achieved many awards in the Regional Art shows and exhibitions. These paintings were acquired when he was visiting California.
